Self evident

In truth
We own this day — this lee-bear-tay
these affectations of a grudge mind
welded seamlessly to the notion
That Congress Shall Not
presume
upon Me
the cause for maintenance
wherein I born to this land
must in all good nature hold
True as one
You my Sister my Brother
You this fat land of bourbon
You cheap republic of salt
and shill the notion that all
who hunger are mine that all
who with neither coin nor scrip
wield hope not flags nor shares
nor pummeling word be granted
that which is given in the creed of us
broadcast in the blue fields of hypocrisy
the stars upon which shine only
on a despair of our own dim making
