so don’t be surprised if I piss

on your porch wrankle your cat

nip your little girl’s hand when she

stretches her stupid to pat my head

don’t be surprised if I rattle your can

dig up your bulbs run from the loop and

bury the tags with your bones.

out here, there is little to do
but shake off the rain —

as only the good dogs do.
